From a small idea to a community-wide impact, Project Nethsuwa is dedicated to preserving the gift of sight.
Project Nethsuwa was born from the realization that vision care is often overlooked in community health initiatives. Organized by the Women Empowerment Avenue of the Leo Club of University of Kelaniya, we set out to bridge the gap between those in need and essential eye health services.
Our project name, "Nethsuwa," translates to "Eye Wellness," reflecting our core focus on ensuring that every individual has the opportunity to see clearly and live fully.
To promote eye health awareness, provide access to vision screenings, and support the visually impaired with resources that enhance their quality of life.
A society where vision impairment is detected early and every individual, regardless of their background, has access to quality eye care.
The values that guide every session and donation we make.
We approach every individual with empathy, understanding the personal impact that vision loss can have on their lives.
Ensuring that our programs reach the most vulnerable, including children in special schools and rural communities.
Maintaining transparency in our donations and ensuring that every resource reaches those who truly need it.
